At the end of March 2012, we were on the lookout for home in the Kenmore/Chapel Hill area, we looked at several homes but they were all looking rather dated (1970’s style). Late on a Sunday afternoon we decided to take a look at a brand new home in Kenmore, the moment we entered the front door we knew we had to purchase this home!!
We were greeted by a gentleman we assumed to be the agent, he turned out to be the builder/designer of this fabulous home, Mr Steve Byrne of Stylish Concepts. Steve let us have a wander around the house and take in the beautifully finished appointments and decor of the home, then he walked us through pointing out all the special features and design points that you don’t find in your standard home. We chatted to Steve for about an hour as he talked us through every little feature of the house, there was nothing he hadn’t thought of. The finish and quality in the home was just amazing, the fittings were all top quality, the design and layout very functional and flowing.
After about 1.5 hours we left, to discuss the pros and cons of buying this property, to be honest we could not come up with one con to stop us buying the home. We contacted Steve and made an offer on the home, 40 minutes later we were back at the house signing the contract, about three weeks later we moved in to our brand new luxury home. Since then our home has won the HIA Queensland Spec Home of the Year and later won the HIA Australian Spec Home of the Year, we were so pleased with this, but what was more pleasing was seeing and hearing the reaction of Steve when he informed us, it was like he was a proud Father.
Steve has stayed in touch over the last four years, and is still very proud of our magnificent home.
